OREANDA-NEWS. PJSC LUKOIL and the National Holding Company Uzbekneftegaz signed a cooperation agreement, in Tashkent today, to facilitate personnel training for Uzbekistan’s oil and gas industry. The document lays down the terms and principles of cooperation in industrial training. The signatories were: Yuri Pikhtovnikov, Head of LUKOIL’s Department for Organizational Development and Career Management, and Ulugbek Sayidov, First deputy Chairman of Uzbekneftegaz’s Management Committee.

The ceremony was part of the agenda of the International Conference on Domestic Personnel Training and Development in International Companies. The conference was organized by the Ministry of Higher and Post-Secondary Education of the Republic of Uzbekistan, OOO LLC LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company (operator of LUKOIL’s projects in Uzbekistan), Uzbekneftegaz and the Tashkent branch of I.M.Gubkin Russian State University of Oil and Gas.

LUKOIL, the largest foreign investor in the Uzbek economy, is currently implementing two ambitious investment projects for oil and gas production in Uzbekistan. Today, more than 1,800 personnel are employed by the LUKOIL Uzbekistan Operating Company. The company plans to increase its headcount to more than three thousand people.
