OREANDA-NEWS. The transit of Russian oil through Belarus to Poland was temporarily suspended due to technical problems. This was reported by Alexander Tishchenko, press secretary of the state concern Belneftekhim.

”In connection with technical problems that appeared on the territory of the Republic of Poland, the Polish side, represented by the Transneft representative office in the Republic of Poland, requested the suspension of oil transportation through the oil trunk pipeline Mazyr–Brest,” he told reporters.

According to Tishchenko, the Belarusian operator of the oil pipeline Gomeltransneft Druzhba is doing everything possible to ensure the transit of the planned volumes of fuel. At present, oil coming from Russia is accumulating in the reservoirs at the dispatch station Mazyr, he added. The total tank capacity of this facility is more than 0.5 million cubic meters.
