OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian coal industry has reduced its main production indicators due to the situation with coronavirus - production since the beginning of April fell by 10%, supplies to the domestic market - by 6%, said Energy Minister Alexander Novak, speaking via video link to the State Duma deputies.

"In the coal industry, there has been a tendency to decline in basic production indicators, but not like in the oil and gas industry. We see that in April, production decreased by about 10%, while supplies to the domestic market fell by about 6%", he said. 

As for exports, according to the minister, coking coal supplies increased, while energy, on the contrary, fell by 10%.
