Planned maintenance work on the Power of Siberia gas pipeline has been completed. Gas transportation, as planned, has been resumed today, the report says.

An energy alliance has already been formed between Russia and China. Gas has taken a firm place in the structure of Russian exports to China, and in the future, high demand for it in China will continue. Thus, the annual volume of supplies for this branch is already 38 billion cubic meters. m of gas, the contract amount is $400 billion.

At the same time, according to analysts, if Russian gas supplies to Europe stop, it can be redirected to the Power of Siberia gas pipeline. It is used to supply gas from Yakutia to Primorsky Krai and the countries of the Asia-Pacific region.

Earlier, Dmitry Marinchenko, Director of the Fitch Natural Resources and Commodities Group, said that the gas market in Europe could become even more scarce if Gazprom increases gas supplies to China via the Power of Siberia 2 gas pipeline.
