OREANDA-NEWS. In Russia, in the first two months of 2021, the volume of gas production increased by 3.8% year-on-year to 130.66 billion cubic meters, according to the operational summary of the Central Department of Fuel and Energy. In February, the country produced 62.04 billion cubic meters of gas (an increase of 2.9% by February 2020).

Simultaneously, in January and February 2021, the volume of oil and gas condensate production decreased by 11.9% year-on-year and amounted to 81.6 million tons, according to the Central Department of Fuel and Energy specialists. The average daily production was recorded at 10.14 million barrels.

At the same time, in the first months of 2021, Russia exported 32.83 million tons of oil to distant foreign countries, which is 21.6% less, than in the same period in 2020, according to the operational summary of the Central Dispatching Department of the Fuel and Energy Complex. The average daily export was recorded at 4.08 million barrels. The leap year correction is taken into account.

Russian oil companies in January-February 2021 increased oil supplies to neighboring countries. Exports to Belarus increased by 232.7% to 2.36 million tons. Transit of Kazakhstan amounted to 2.14 million tons (in February – 1.1 million tons), Turkmenistan – 320.46 thousand tons (240.66 thousand tons), Belarus – 272.5 thousand tons (130 thousand tons).
