OREANDA-NEWS. Gas supplies via the «Nord Stream-2» are expected from October 1. This is reported by the Bloomberg agency, citing it's sources. It is noted that such terms were announced by Gazprom.

Earlier it was reported that Ukraine said that the local gas transportation system management company «is the best fit» for the role of an operator independent of Gazprom to manage the «Nord Stream-2». This was written by the Ukrainian media «Today».

The authors of the publication refer to the Gas Directive of the European Union, which covers the Russian pipeline. The article also notes that Ukraine should develop a system of «hubs» based on underground gas storage facilities.

Statements about the control over the «Nord Stream-2» have been repeatedly voiced by the leaders of the country's oil industry. The «Nord Stream-2» will be stretched from Russia to Germany along the bottom of the Baltic Sea. The capacity of it's two lines is 55 billion cubic meters of gas per year. The project is actively opposed by Ukraine, which is afraid of losing revenue from transit.
