OREANDA-NEWS. The Russian multinational energy company Gazprom will reduce gas supplies to Ukraine by 30%, and to Europe by 25%. According to the available data, the reserves of combustible matter in underground gas storage facilities in Europe are at the lowest level for many years. The situation is similar with Ukraine: at the current rate of gas injection into the country, by October 12, there will be 30% or 8 billion cubic meters of gas in Ukrainian gas farms less than last year.

«The season of gas extraction from underground gas storage facilities in Europe last year began on October 12. If the current pumping rates are maintained, it can be predicted that by October 12 of this year there will be about 78 billion cubic meters of gas in storage. This means that 25% or 17 billion cubic meters of gas from the 66.2 billion cubic meters selected last winter will not be replenished», the company said in an official statement.

Earlier, Gazprom exceeded the plan and delivered 5% more gas to China via the Power of Siberia gas pipeline than was specified in the contract. At the same time, the company is not going to increase the amount of fuel supplied to Europe.
