OREANDA-NEWS. German Economy Minister Robert Habeck said that Germany had not recorded violations in the supply of energy resources from abroad. His words are quoted by RIA Novosti.

Gas, oil and coal deliveries are carried out as before,” he said.

The politician believes that Berlin should further strengthen its energy security.

“This includes additional expansion of LNG terminals in Germany,” Habek said.

He added that Berlin will do everything to ensure the reliability of its energy supply.

"The import of Russian oil to Germany is 35%, but there is a national oil reserve that provides 90-day independence from imports, we are reliably provided with oil," the politician said.

According to him, we need to quickly develop renewable energy in order to overcome dependence on fossil fuels.

Earlier, the politician said that after Russia's military operation in the Donbass, Berlin would be forced to buy gas and coal from other states.

He also added that in the short and medium term, including due to the US sanctions against Russia, the launch of the Russian Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline is impossible.
