Kazakhstan Proposed Russia to Lay Power of Siberia 2 on Its Territory
OREANDA-NEWS. Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Nurlan Nogaev during a meeting with his Russian counterpart Alexander Novak suggested considering the possibility of laying the gas pipeline Power of Siberia 2 through the territory of the republic with further connection to the Chinese gas pipeline system West–East. This was reported by the press service of the Kazakh Ministry.
Besides, the parties exchanged views on issues of bilateral cooperation in the fuel and energy sector and discussed interactions within the Eurasian Economic Union. “Novak noted the constructive nature of Russian-Kazakh energy interaction, as well as mutually beneficial partnership between the two countries, including a partnership in the sphere of oil and gas transportation,” the press service wrote.
