OREANDA-NEWS. President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko claimed that Minsk has enough opportunities to buy hydrocarbons in different countries of the world. According to the politician, in these conditions, an alternative to any source of energy can be easily found.

“Thank God there is enough oil in the world… And the prices are reasonable. There is enough natural gas, and there is a fight for the premium European and our market between the main players supplying natural gas. And there is an alternative, we can find it,” the press service of the presidential administration quoted Lukashenko.

Earlier, the Belarusian leader repeatedly said that he is indignant at the price at which it was offered to buy Russian gas. Lukashenko compared the price set by the company Gazprom at 127 US dollars per 1,000 cubic meters with the “compulsion to integrate,” explaining that Moscow hints that in exchange for setting common prices for energy, Belarus should become a part of Russia.
