OREANDA-NEWSNo changes to the transit agreement between Gazprom and Naftogaz Ukrainy are supposed to be made; commercial terms for gas transit to Europe will be economically beneficial for both Russia and Ukraine. This was announced by Russian Minister of Energy Alexander Novak in an interview with the Russian television channel.

“My colleague, Minister of Energy and Environmental Protection of Ukraine Oleksiy Orzhel, there is no need to make additional decisions at the ministry level, we finally agreed in Minsk. No, no changes are planned. Now, in accordance with the agreements that were reached, our colleagues - business entities (Gazprom and Naftogaz) are working on signing specific documents”, he said.

According to Novak, the commercial terms of the agreement are mutually beneficial. “These are commercial agreements, they are absolutely mutually beneficial”, the minister said. In addition, the minister noted that a similar agreement will strengthen relations between countries.
