OREANDA-NEWS. Russian and Belarusian presidents Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko held telephone conversation.

The Kremlin press service reported that the key topic was the supply of oil and gas from Russia. The parties agreed to continue these contacts at the level of the companies. “An agreement to continue negotiations on this topic among business entities of the two countries was reached,” the statement says.

BelTA news agency reports that Minsk and Moscow will also prepare an interim version of the conditions for the supply of fuel to Belarus, if the parties do not agree before January 1. The presidents of the two countries may meet in mid-January to discuss and make final decisions on oil and gas supplies.
