OREANDA-NEWS. Russia has stopped gas supplies to Poland, Onet reports, citing a government source. It is noted that the reasons for stopping gas supplies were not officially announced.

Information first about a significant reduction in gas transportation, and then about the suspension, was unofficially confirmed by government sources. The Russians did not inform the Polish side about the reasons for the suspension of supplies, the agency reports.

Earlier, Polish Minister of Climate and Environment Anna Moskva said that Warsaw is ready to give up Russian resources and intends to call on all EU countries for such a decision. According to her, at the next EU summit, Poland will come up with a proposal to introduce quotas and fees for the use of energy from Russia. She clarified that Poland will offer to introduce an analogue of ETS on Russian raw materials in order to stimulate the acceleration of the abandonment of Russian coal and gas.

Warsaw also compiled its own sanctions list against Moscow and Minsk, which includes 50 positions. It concerns Russian and Belarusian oligarchs and firms that operate in Poland. It includes Gazprom, Akron, NOVATEK, PhosAgro and all enterprises that supplied coal to the country from the Russian Federation and Donbass.
