OREANDA-NEWSStarting February 1, Belarus will increase the transit tariff for oil transportation through main oil pipelines by 6.6%. This is stated in the message of the Ministry of Antimonopoly Regulation and Trade (MART) of Belarus, published on Friday on the website of the department.

“The size of the tariff increase is determined solely in accordance with the requirements of the methodology as the average annual consumer price index established by the forecast parameters of the socio-economic development of the Russian Federation for 2020 in the amount of 3.6%, increased by 3 percentage points”, the department said.

Earlier, President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko said that the republic is waging a “war for energy”, so you need to learn how to save and live within our means. Last week, Lukashenko authorized the Belarusian government to start negotiations with Kazakhstan on oil supplies.
