OREANDA-NEWSThe Supreme Court of Russia refused to review the court decisions of two lower instances regarding the recovery from Ukraine of $ 144 million in favor of Tatneft. About this writes the Russian media with reference to the court ruling.

The corresponding cassation complaint was filed by the Ukrainian Ministry of Justice, which requested a review of the decisions of the Arbitration Court of the Stavropol Territory, and then of the North Caucasus District, where Tatneft, among other things, filed a motion to enforce the decision of the international arbitration.

“There are no grounds for revising the judicial acts adopted in the present case at the hearing of the Judicial Collegium for Economic Disputes of the Supreme Court of the Russian Federation”, the statement says. In 2014, the International Commercial Arbitration Court in Paris ordered Ukraine to pay Tatneft $ 144 million in compensation for the loss of its stake in Ukrtatnaft, which was created on the basis of the Kremenchug refinery in 1994.
