OREANDA-NEWS. State Duma deputy Ruslan Balbek, commenting on the controversial proposal of the Ukrainian side to "exchange" the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline for the Crimea, expressed the opinion that "for irrepressible arrogance" you can get into the book of records.

Earlier, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Dmytro Kuleba said that the condition for the launch of the Nord Stream 2 gas pipeline should be "the de-occupation of Ukrainian territories and the energy security of Ukraine." On his Twitter page, he noted that he raised this issue at the talks in Berlin.

Balbek told RIA Novosti: "Official Kiev has nothing to do with either Nord Stream or Crimea. But at the same time publicly declares to the whole world about a fraudulent scheme, they say, you give yours so that we would allow us to use yours. So you can enter the book of records for irrepressible arrogance. But in life everything is much more prosaic. Ukraine will remain only with its claims and reduced transit through its mainline. However, as they say, there is nothing to blame on the mirror. Since 1992, they have not wanted to be friends, and now we do not want to understand their difficult situations - friendship is apart. "
