OREANDA-NEWS. August 31, 2016. Businesses have to be able to rely on adequate resources to develop and commercialize their innovative products. To that end, the Government of Canada is committed to supporting Canadian companies that are investing in innovation to sustain their growth and, in so doing, are creating quality jobs and generating positive spinoffs for Canadian communities.

Acting on behalf of the Honourable Navdeep Bains, Minister of Innovation, Science and Economic Development and Minister responsible for CED, the Honourable Jean-Yves Duclos, Minister of Families, Children and Social Development, took the opportunity on the launch of the television series Cracked to announce that the firm Squeeze Studio Animation has been granted \\$150,000 in new funding to improve its productivity and capacity for innovation. This repayable contribution has been awarded through CED’s Quebec Economic Development Program (QEDP).

The financial assistance will enable the enterprise to acquire specialized computer equipment and software to spur its growth. The company’s project will translate into an improved 3D animation service offering that will help consolidate Quebec’s pool of businesses operating in the multimedia creation and video gaming sector.

By providing high-quality animation services and facilitating the creation of world-class original works through Squeeze Productions, Squeeze Studio serves a wide market of creators, producers and distributors of animated films, television series and advertisements.
