OREANDA-NEWS. August 09, 2016. Intacct, the customer satisfaction leader in cloud ERP software, today announced the addition of Ian Howells as its new vice president of market development.

With more than twenty years of marketing experience at startups and major software companies, Howells brings Intacct a wealth of expertise to oversee the company’s expanding vertical market strategy. Howells will spearhead the cross-company go-to-market strategies for Intacct’s targeted vertical market segments.

Prior to Intacct, Howells led marketing at Argyle Data transitioning the company to a leading machine learning Hadoop application vendor used by the world’s largest mobile carriers to perform fraud and revenue threat analytics. Before that, he led marketing at StorSimple prior to their acquisition by Microsoft and SeeBeyond prior to their acquisition by Sun. Howells previously worked in market development at Documentum where he led their entry into financial services, which became the company's largest vertical. Howells has a Ph.D. in distributed database systems and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Computing and Statistics from Cardiff University.

“Ian Howells is a welcome addition to Intacct’s leadership team and our entire organization is looking forward to his contributions towards accelerating Intacct’s momentum,” said Intacct CEO, Robert Reid. “We have been consistently delivering new business growth that outpaces the competition; but most importantly, Intacct is committed to meeting our customer’s needs, putting them first, and remaining the highest rated solution for customer satisfaction.”

“Intacct is in the enviable position of having an award-winning cloud ERP system that not only helps midsize companies accelerate their growth, but also delivers an outstanding customer experience,” said Howells. “I am excited to have the opportunity to expand Intacct’s reach into new vertical markets to help an even larger group of companies improve the productivity of their finance teams and unlock valuable insights to better manage their businesses.”
