OREANDA-NEWS.  KAMAZ's sales on the Russian market grew in the first quarter of the year. The company sold by 1.5 thousand trucks more than for the same period in 2016.

In the first quarter of the current year, 5750 KAMAZ vehicles were sold (4182 units in the analogous period last year). According to Andrey Ignatyev, Director General of Trade and Finance Company KAMAZ, a positive trend in sales is seen in all regions – Privolzhsky, Central, Southern Federal Districts and others. "But there's no boost in demand on the whole for a while. There is a revival of the construction market and the long haul sector," Ignatyev noted. "We introduce new models right in time. The analysis of sales shows the main growth just in the segment of our new line-up and stable figures in the sales of our traditional models." Every year, starting from 2014, the sales of KAMAZ-5490 long-haul tractors have been increasing, which indicates customers' high assessment. To add to this, the best sellers in the traditional segment are KAMAZ-43118, KAMAZ-65115, and a heavy-duty KAMAZ-6520 LUXE truck with a comfortable cabin.

"We've changed much in our approach to sales. We don't just sell vehicles now, but try to realize client's real needs and peculiarities of management of their fleets. Exactly this partner-focused method will help us win client's loyalty for many years ahead," Ignatyev expressed confidence. "The global practice shows that it's service that makes a customer come back for the second time. Therefore comprehensive service contracts are another novelty we put on the market."

Besides, the company offers a fixed price in the leasing cost when the client doesn't pay for maintenance, and it is included in the vehicle cost. As for work with dealers, now the focus is made not only on quality but also on fast service. "Large companies want to have the whole set of documents maximum in an hour," Ignatyev explained. "We also introduce a number of electronic products, e-document management, and we'll have electronic vehicle licences in the nearest two months."
