OREANDA-NEWS. According to the press service of the Moscow prosecutor's office, the department initiated a criminal case after a batch of almost 10 million disposable gloves that were already in use came to the Russian capital.

According to the prosecutor's office, the Russian company has signed a contract with a foreign firm, whose name has not yet been specified, for the supply of disposable vinyl gloves to the Russian Federation.

The official statement of the prosecutor's office says: "On the basis of customs declarations, disposable gloves were supplied in the amount of more than 9.9 million pieces for their further sale. Subsequently, it was established that the supplied products do not correspond to the declared quality, there are characteristic signs that the gloves were previously in use."

It is noted that now in Russia restrictive measures have been introduced to combat COVID-19, in connection with which the provision of used personal protective equipment is a gross violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules, which could contribute to the mass illness of citizens.

The Moscow prosecutor's office carried out an inspection, on the basis of which a criminal case was initiated under the article on attempted violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules.

The results of the investigation were put under control by the prosecutor's office.
