OREANDA-NEWS Apple remains the leader in the market of smart watches by a wide margin having sold 5.7 million devices during the reporting period, despite the fact that sales volumes for the same period last year amounted to 3.8 million units. 

Samsung remains in second place in this segment with more than 2 million smart watches. 

The third result was shown by Fitbit, whose sales sagged and amounted to 1.2 million devices. It is worth noting that these three manufacturers occupied a market share of 72.1%. 

In general, the market for smart watches in the second quarter showed an increase of 55.4% to 12.3 million devices sold.
