OREANDA-NEWS The re:Store chain, which is part of Inventive Retail Group, IRG and is Apple's retail operator, has begun closing a number of stores in Russia. It is reported by "Kommersant".

According to the company, eight outlets temporarily stopped working in Moscow, four in St. Petersburg, one each in cities such as Krasnodar, Chelyabinsk and Kazan.

As explained by the source of the publication in the real estate market, IRG has decided to suspend the work of stores for three months. The temporary closure is allegedly required to debug logistics.

Previously, the retailer of Apple equipment negotiates with the owners of the premises regarding the terms of the lease for the duration of the closure.

There are no official comments on the situation with stores from re:Store yet.

Earlier it was reported that a major supplier to Apple is cutting production due to the lockdown in China.
