OREANDA-NEWS Businessmen from the Crimea to discuss issues of supply of edible salt in Israel, as well as cooperation in the field of agriculture and health during the beginning of the visit of the Crimean delegation to the country said on Friday, the Head of the Black Sea Association of international cooperation, President of the all-Crimean Jewish Congress, Jan Epstein.

Sea salt is grown on the salt lake in the Saki region of Crimea. It is evaporated under the sun and assembled by hand. "Live" salt, as it is called on the Peninsula, has a milder taste and it contains all the useful components for people.

"During the visit, issues related to agriculture and medicine will be discussed. Israeli businessmen are interested in supplies of Crimean salt. This issue will also be discussed. We will try to agree on the establishment of mutual trade relations," Epstein said.

According to this information the delegation includes representatives of the Crimean authorities, business, banking sector, who are interested in the development of economic cooperation between Israeli and Crimean businessmen.

During the visit, which will last until March 27, is expected to visit Israeli farms, universities, medical centers. On behalf of the organizing Committee of the Yalta International Economic Forum, it is planned to transfer an official invitation to Israeli businessmen to visit the forum, which will be held on April 17-21.

Earlier it was reported that Crimea produces up to 20 thousand tons of sea salt, which covers the needs of the Peninsula in this product. Crimean salt is supplied to other regions of Russia.
