OREANDA-NEWS The Coca-Cola company in 2018, compared with the previous increased sales in Russia by 4.4%, to 2 billion liters. This is stated in the message of the company.

The main driver of sales growth was the growth of the category of carbonated beverages by 6.4% due to the brands Coca-Cola and Fanta (11% compared to 2017).

In addition, the volume of sales of energy drinks in Russia, produced by Coca-Cola, in 2018 increased by 35.7% due to the positive dynamics of sales of drinks Burn and Monster.

"Coca-Cola Russia showed good results in 2018, which generally met our expectations. In the first two quarters, sales growth was supported by favorable weather conditions and marketing activity within the framework of the 2018 FIFA World Cup," commented Alexander Ruzhevich, CEO of Coca - Cola Russia.

As noted in the company, the net profit of Coca-Cola  in the world at the end of 2018 increased by 5% to €447.4 million, and the basic earnings per share amounted to €1,216 against €1,168 in 2017. Operating profit in the period under review increased by 8.4%, to €639.4 million. Total sales amounted to 12.45 billion liters (+4%), and net revenue - €6,657 billion (+2.1%).
