OREANDA-NEWS. The representative of the Russian Consulate General in Antalya, Turkey, confirmed to RIA Novosti the death of a Russian tourist who was there on vacation.

First, they wrote about the incident in the Turkish media. It was noted that a 36-year-old Russian citizen was found dead in the bathroom of a hotel room in the Colakli area where he was staying.

A representative of the Russian diplomatic mission said: "The Consulate General confirms the information about the death of a Russian tourist who was on vacation in Antalya province. Law enforcement agencies are conducting an inspection in accordance with the established procedure. According to its results, the relatives and friends of the deceased will be additionally informed."

He added that the employees of the Consulate General, together with the insurance company and local authorities, provide the necessary assistance in repatriating the body to its homeland.

Meanwhile, in Turkey, there are regular anti-records - more than 40 thousand infected per day, which is almost five times higher than the Russian figures. Moreover, 75 percent are infected with the British strain. Ankara introduces new restrictions, but this does not concern tourists, and the borders are still open.
