Egyptian Authorities have Published Holiday Rules for Foreign Tourists
A document from the Egyptian Tourism Promotion Authority says that everyone arriving in the country is required to present a certificate with a negative PCR test for COVID-19, submitted no later than 72 hours before departure.
Travelers arriving at the airports of Sharm El Sheikh, Taba, Hurghada, Marsa Alam and Luxor can get tested on the spot. Its cost is $ 30 in cash. After that, guests will go to the hotel. If the test result turns out to be positive, then the guests will be accommodated in separate rooms at the hotel, covering the costs of accommodation and meals.
According to the rules, each hotel accepting holidaymakers must allocate a separate floor for those carrying mild coronavirus. Critically ill tourists are hospitalized. The local Ministry of Health will cover the costs of medicines and treatment of all cases.
Those who have been in contact with the sick can undergo a free medical examination and stay at the hotel without additional expenses until the end of the quarantine.
The document also states that travelers must wear masks on board the aircraft, at the airport, during the transfer and on excursions to museums, at the hotel when traveling in an elevator.
