OREANDA-NEWS Analysts have come to the conclusion that the measures taken by the Russian government will not allow a rise in price of a liter of gasoline by more than three rubles by 2024.

According to the results of 2019, the average retail price of a liter of gasoline in the Russian Federation will be 48.36 rubles. In 2020, the price will increase slightly and stop at around 48.97 rubles. In 2021, about 49.58 rubles will have to be paid for a liter of gasoline, and in 2022 the price “breaks through” a barrier of 50 rubles (according to the forecast, a liter of gasoline will cost 50.19 rubles). In 2023, the price of fuel will rise again, the price of a liter of gas will be 50.80 rubles.

Analysts emphasize that price containment mechanisms gradually normalize the situation. So, if in 2019 the increase in total revenues to the treasury will amount to 0.49% of GDP, then in 2023, 3.49% of GDP is expected.
