OREANDA-NEWS  Export of poultry meat by Russian enterprises to China in the coming years can reach 150 thousand tons per year. This was reported to journalists on Tuesday in Vladivostok, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation Dmitry Patrushev.

"In the coming years, Russian poultry enterprises are able to supply the Chinese market with about 150 thousand tons of poultry products. Every year, China buys about 500 thousand tons of these products, which opens up the prospect of active export growth for Russian producers," the Minister said.

According to Minister of Agriculture, in November last year, Russia and China signed protocols on mutual supplies, at the moment, 23 Russian enterprises can export poultry products to China.

Speaking at the meeting, the Minister noted that exporters of agricultural products to the countries of the Asia-Pacific region will receive support within the framework of the national project "international cooperation and export". At the same time, the poultry industry is one of the most promising in the Russian Federation: at the end of 2018, it showed an increase of 0.7% compared to the year before.

Trade between Russia and China in January 2019 increased by 10.8% year-on-year to 9.2 billion dollars, according to the report of the Main customs administration of China. China's exports to Russia increased by 11.5% in the first month of 2019 and exceeded $ 4.3 billion. Russia's exports to China also increased by 10.2% to $ 4.89 billion. In 2018, trade between Russia and China increased by 27.1% year-on-year to $ 107 billion. Russia and China hope to increase trade from $ 100 billion in 2018 to $ 200 billion by 2020.
