OREANDA-NEWS  Greece plans to fully open its borders to all tourists in late spring, subject to a favorable epidemiological situation. This was announced by the Minister of Tourism of the country Haris Theoharis, reports the AMNA agency.

Greece plans to start the tourist season from May 14, if the epidemiological situation allows. The country plans to accept not only citizens from the EU countries, but also from third countries, including Russia.

Theoharis notes that all tourists coming to Greece will be required to comply with the following conditions: to be vaccinated against coronavirus or have antibodies to it and a negative test result for infection.

In addition, during the stay in the country, it will be necessary to comply with sanitary norms and rules. For example, mask mode in public places, as well as social distance.

Entry to Greece for up to 500 Russians per week was allowed from September 7, 2020, the decision period was repeatedly extended. However, arrival is allowed only through the airports of Athens, Thessaloniki and Heraklion. To enter, you need to have a negative test for coronavirus in English, received no earlier than 48 hours before arrival in the country. It is also necessary to have a hotel voucher or documents with information about a temporary residence in the country with you.
