OREANDA-NEWS  Shipments to the Chinese company Huawei collapsed due to the imposition of US sanctions in the fourth quarter of 2020. According to CNBC, in the last months of last year, the company sent 33 million smartphones around the world, which is 41 percent less than in the same period of 2019 year.

New US sanctions have stripped Huawei of key software, including various chips. As a result, the manufacturer, which once ranked first in the world, is now far behind its competitors and is only sixth in the smartphone market. The share of the manufacturer Huawei is estimated at 8 percent.

The Chinese manufacturer has fallen far behind Oppo and Vivo, while Apple and Samsung have left it far behind. Apple has recorded record revenue growth of over 100 billion dollars.

Huawei has been under US sanctions since May 2019. First, the United States imposed a ban on technology and supply of Huawei processors for equipment. The US accused Huawei of cooperating with the Chinese military and collecting information.
