Rospotrebnadzor Fined for Improper Sorting of Dairy Products
OREANDA-NEWS. Rospotrebnadzor warned large retailers about possible fines due to improper layout of dairy products. The agency requires that products that use milk fat replacer be separated from the rest, said the Association of Retail Companies (ACORT).
Retailers and Rospotrebnadzor interpret the rules in force in different ways, which came into force on July 1 and obligate stores to visually separate products without vegetable fats.
Networks believe that it is enough to indicate the necessary information on the price tags, and in the controlling service they are sure: the goods must be divorced on the shelves, “in order to prevent mixing”.
Representatives of the Ministry of Industry and Trade, which has the initiative to separate dairy products from milk-containing ones, commented on the situation. According to a government decree, products without milk fat substitutes should be placed in such a way that they can be visually distinguished from other products.
