OREANDA-NEWS. The head of the Ministry for the Development of the Russian Far East, Alexei Chekunkov, spoke about the construction of a new resort "Sputnik" near Vladivostok, which will be able to replace tourists with a vacation on the coast of Crimea and Krasnodar Territory. RIA Novosti reports.

It also became known that on Wednesday, November 17, the minister, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, Plenipotentiary of the President of Russia in the Far Eastern Federal District, Yuri Trutnev, will inspect the site for the future city. “I think it will be healthy competition with Crimea and Sochi. There "pressure" from tourists, demand for housing and prices are such that the Primorsky Territory will take away part of the tourist flow on the Black Sea coast, "the minister said.

According to Chekunkov, it is planned to create a "tourist cluster from Nakhodka to the very south of Primorye, to Khasan." “It will be a tourist Mecca,” he added.

Earlier in November, the Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, Vadim Volchenko, revealed a location for the creation of a new ski resort in the south of the peninsula. He noted that the cluster is planned to be built in the area of the Angarsk pass on the slopes of the Chatyr-Dag mountain between Simferopol and Alushta, ten kilometers from the sea.
