In two companies, flights to Varadero are launched on Sunday, April 18th. The head of the public relations department of a large tour operator Alena Khitrova explained that there are no more seats on the first flight. She also noted that even before the restriction of flights with Turkey, Kuba was in demand, and after the opening of the famous resort for Russians, interest in this island state obviously increased. "Until the end of April, flights are filled by more than 60 percent," the expert said.

On April 21, another tour operator's flight program to Varadero starts. Marina Makarkova, the head of the company's PR department, explained that this resort has always been the most popular holiday destination for Russians in Cuba. "Tours to Varadero have already appeared in our booking system. Their cost starts from 98,700 rubles per person in a double room in a three-star hotel with all-inclusive meals," she said, adding that in "four" the price starts from 102 thousand rubles per person, and in the "five" - ​​from 105 thousand. The tour package includes flight, transfer and insurance.

"About 14 percent of those tourists who cannot fly to Turkey have rebooked to Cuba," Makarkova said.

Also, several other companies announced direct flights to Cuba resorts from April 24 and 29 and from May 2.
