OREANDA-NEWS. The Russians are massively interested in vouchers to Turkey and Egypt after the announcement of non-working days. This conclusion was reached by analysts of the Tinkoff Travel online travel agency and the Travelata.ru service, and the results of the study were at the disposal of the Lenta.ru editorial board.

Based on data on ticket purchases and tours for the period from October 30 to November 7, it turned out that the demand for tickets to Turkey increased by 85 percent, and to Egypt - by 32 percent.

In addition to the two most popular foreign destinations, Russians have also begun to take an interest in domestic travel - demand for domestic resorts has grown by 26 percent, while the average check for tours has increased by 17 percent.

According to analysts, many tourists had to reorient themselves to domestic destinations due to the lack of a large offer for hot tours abroad. Together, tours to Egypt, Turkey and Russia covered more than 90 percent of all bookings.

Earlier in October, Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova expressed concern about Russians' plans to go on tourist trips on non-working days from October 30 to November 7. The Deputy Prime Minister also urged to remember the high burden on the healthcare system in the coronavirus pandemic.
