OREANDA-NEWS. Large manufacturers associations warned of the risk of rising food prices due to new fines proposed by the Ministry of Industry and Trade.

 The Ministry of Industry and Trade is preparing amendments to the Code of Administrative Offenses, which introduce a fine for manufacturers and sellers of products that do not comply with the technical regulations of the Customs Union.  Thus, consumers want to protect in particular from counterfeit products.  It is assumed that punishing dishonest market participants will be a fine of 3% of the turnover, but not less than 2 million rubles.

 The ministry said it would consider comments and suggestions from the industry.  "The submitted proposals and comments on the bill by representatives of these organizations, as well as business entities, reflect their concerns about its adoption, which will also be considered by the Ministry of Industry and Trade of Russia as part of a prepared summary of comments and suggestions received following a public discussion of the draft act and summary report."  , - the press service of the Ministry of Industry and Trade said.
