OREANDA-NEWS The price of the Galaxy S22, the flagship smartphone of Samsung Electronics, has declined amid reports of a decrease in its performance. In South Korean stores, it fell by half in just a few weeks after the premiere.

Consumers complained about the manufacturer advertising its products as «the most powerful smartphone». Some of them filed a class action lawsuit. The buyer's claims are related to the fact that the company has provided few details about the management software, which, according to them, significantly slows down the gadget when using applications that heavily load the processor.

Experts explained that people are talking about the GOS service, which allows to prevent the smartphone from overheating during the passage of games. In some cases, the S22 processor lost about 46% in performance. The manufacturer introduced this software back in 2016, just a few months before the Galaxy Note 7 was recalled after a series of battery failures.

«The dispute will inevitably deal a big blow to Samsung's credibility», said Lee Seung—woo, an analyst at Eugene Investment & Securities, according to Reuters.
