The Government has Extended the Tourist Cashback Program in Russia
OREANDA-NEWS Russians have the opportunity to use the tourist cashback program longer, on new terms, when traveling in Russia until January 10, 2021. The decree about it was signed by Prime Minister of Russia Mikhail Mishustin.
The official government's website notes that not only hotels and tour operators, but also travel aggregators will be able to participate in the program.
Rosturizm will announce a bit later the start and end dates for the sale of tourist services with cashback.
According to the new terms of this program, the minimum duration of a trip or hotel stay has been reduced from four to two nights. The minimum cost of the tour is no longer limited (the limit was 25 thousand rubles before). The maximum refund will be 20% of the tour cost, but no more than 20 thousand rubles (previously up to 15 thousand rubles).
But the prerequisite of the program remains the same - payment has to be done by card of the "Mir" payment system. Cashback will be credited to it automatically within five days from the date of payment for the trip. The second stage of the program will last much longer as compared with the previous one - at least 1.5 months.
The amending of this program and a change in its rules were discussed at a meeting with President Vladimir Putin with members of the government, which took place on September 9.
