OREANDA-NEWS. Cyprus recognizes Russian vaccination certificates. Russians who have been vaccinated will not have to take a coronavirus test on arrival on the island, the Minister of Tourism of Cyprus Savvas Perdios said in an interview with Russian media «RIA Novosti».

Since June 28, regular flights between Russia and Cyprus have resumed, which allowed organized tourists to start traveling to the island.

«In order for someone to enter Cyprus from Russia, they must have two tests for coronavirus, because Russia is still in the “red category” of countries. This means that one PCR test must be done 72 hours before arrival in Cyprus, and the second test-when the traveler arrives in our country», the minister said. The test in Cyprus is paid — it costs about 30 euros.

«If someone is vaccinated, the test is not necessary», Perdios said. According to him, if the epidemiological situation in Russia improves in the future, it will be transferred to the «orange» category of countries, and then it will be possible to come with only one test.

The head of the Ministry of Tourism also said that since June 28, the number of flights has been constantly increasing, including from the regions, that is, these are flights not only from Moscow.
