OREANDA-NEWS. Tour operators have estimated the demand for travel packages and named the cost of air tickets to the newly opened European country. This information appeared on the website of the Association of Tour Operators of Russia (ATOR).

You can buy tickets to Hungary from Moscow for an average of 11 thousand rubles in both directions - such prices are offered by the low-cost airline Wizz air. Transportation by Aeroflot will cost more - the cost of one-way tickets is at least 23 thousand rubles.

Russia resumed direct flights with Hungary in early June 2021. There are four flights a week from Moscow to Budapest, and two from St. Petersburg.

To travel to Hungary, you need a valid Schengen visa, the Hungarian side accepts documents for it from August 2. A prerequisite for submitting an application is a certificate of a complete course of covid vaccination; Russian tourists can download it on "State Services".

It is noted that Russian tourists will be offered vouchers of different formats. Firstly, these are health and medical trips to thermal resorts, and secondly, city tours to Budapest with additional excursions around the country.

Tour operators added that Hungary will become a popular destination among vaccinated Russians who "miss" Europe. However, experts do not expect "explosive" demand due to the current restrictions.

Earlier in July, Hungary opened to vaccinated Russians - tourists will be able to enter the country without quarantine and PCR tests. Also, those who have been ill with COVID-19 over the past six months will be able to visit the republic without restrictions.
