Turkish Merchants Asked to Limit All Inclusive System
“The standards of the all-inclusive system need to be reviewed, as they kill the business. Tourists sit in hotels and do not spend money outside hotels,” it is clarified. Turkish officials complain that due to the lack of tourists, local businessmen can’t even give back the loans they took to open stores and restaurants at the beginning of the season.
The Association of Tour Operators specified that they were the first to plan to cancel the all inclusive system in the Turkish regions of Side and Alanya, popular with tourists. “In fact, we are talking about the centers of the resort,” the Tsargrad television channel explains.
At the same time, the number of Russians who go on vacation to Turkey continues to grow rapidly. So, in the first half of this year, the country was visited by 13.9% more Russian citizens than in the same period of 2018.
