OREANDA-NEWS Xiaomi took the first place in online sales of smartphones in Russia in the first half of 2019. In percentage terms, the company occupied 22% of the market.

Experts believe that sales via the Internet in Russia are growing due to a decrease in attendance of retail stores, where buyers are imposed additional services, insurance, SIM cards as a gift, and strengthening the position of networks such as AliExpress and Tmall. The growth of Xiaomi's online sales is explained by successful novelties and its popularity with the audience that prefers online shopping.

Honor is in second place with 19.5% of sales, and Huawei closes the top three with 8.5%. The total share of the leaders of Xiaomi, Huawei and Honor in physical terms increased to 50%, which is twice as much as in the same period of 2018.

In terms of money, Apple again took the first place in the online segment.
