OREANDA-NEWS. Deutsche Post DHL Group and the Bundeswehr (German armed forces) are now cooperating on the sustainable integration of soldiers into the civilian labor market after they leave military service. Deutsche Post DHL Group and the Federal Ministry of Defence signed a corresponding agreement today in Berlin. While the collaboration opens up long-term prospects for soldiers to engage in diverse work activities at the world's leading postal and logistics services group, the company gains early access to a large pool of qualified and motivated applicants. Appropriate opportunities will be created to participate in the career-and-education trade fairs of the Bundeswehr's vocational training service, and in Deutsche Post DHL Group's career-guidance traineeships.

"Particularly in view of the fast-growing parcel market, we are always on the lookout for reliable, motivated and well-qualified staff. For this reason, I am delighted that we can now expand our successful and longstanding field-post partnership with the Bundeswehr to the advantage of both sides," says J?rgen Gerdes, Management Board Member for Post - eCommerce - Parcel at Deutsche Post DHL Group.
Along with intensive interaction and unbureaucratic lines of communication, the focus of the collaboration will be on information events and job-placement offerings for soldiers, Gerdes says.
