OREANDA-NEWS. Russian car plants will receive 850 million rubles in subsidies for the transportation of finished cars, said Prime Minister, Dmitry Medvedev.

"For the development of modern production facilities in the Far East, we also support the transportation of the cars that are produced there to other regions of the country from the Reserve Fund, because the market there is still relatively small compared to the size of the whole state." We will allocate 850 million rubles to the Ministry of Industry and Trade of subsidies to carmakers - given our distances, without such money it is impossible to ensure the competitiveness of regional enterprises. It will permit, of course, to keep the employment on assembly lines and in adjacent fields. This decision will lead to the fact that it will be possible to export at least 17,000 cars made in the Far East on a competitive basis, "- Mr. Medvedev said, who was quoted by the Finmarket agency.

Recall, the Russian government will also allocate from the Reserve Fund about 440 million rubles to support the employees of AVTOVAZ, the preservation of qualified employees. Earlier, the government of the Samara region stated that, together with the federal authorities, there are working out forms of employment support and options for creating new jobs for the released employees of AVTOVAZ.
