OREANDA-NEWSThe FAA report, which the news agency transmits, indicates that the contracting company supplied Boeing with incorrectly made slat guide plates, which could affect their strength. Such details, affecting the smoothness of take-off and landing, were installed on 300 aircraft Boeing 737 Max and the older version of the Boeing 737.

The FAA indicated that problems with the slat shouldn't lead to a plane crash, but could adversely affect flight. In turn, Boeing reported that they suspect the presence of defective parts on 20 liners 737 Max. At the same time, the companies added that they intend to re-double-check all the vehicles reported by the Administration. Airlines in different countries of the world were forced to suspend the operation of the 737 Max in March after the second crash in six months with an aircraft of this model. After the crash of the Ethiopian Airlines plane, aviation authorities stated that they would prohibit flights until the appearance of additional security guarantees and the installation of new software. According to Reuters, in the United States, restrictions may be lifted closer to mid-summer.

Federal Aviation Administration message, as reported by Bloomberg, appeared amid Boeing’s attempts to convince the leaders of the largest airlines at a forum in Seoul that their planes are reliable. Emirates stressed that even if the ban on 737 Max flights will be lifted in July, the airline will be ready to return the aircraft of this model only in December. Singapore Airlines, in turn, declined to say whether 737 Max will be used in the coming months. "Why buy a plane on which people don't want to fly," explained the position of Thai Airways airline president Summet Damrongchaytam. Among those who declared belief in Boeing were the leaders of the Indian Spice jet, as well as the Panamanian Copa Airlines.
