OREANDA-NEWS. In the near future, passengers of the Belavia Belarusian airline, which has urgently landed at Moscow's Domodedovo airport, will be provided with a spare plane for a flight to Antalya. This was stated by RIA Novosti on Monday in the press service of the national carrier.

"On July 26, 2021, during flight B2-9215 from Minsk to Antalya with 189 passengers and seven crew members on board on a Boeing 737-800 aircraft, an alarm about a malfunction of one of the engines went off ... At 11.46 the aircraft landed at the Moscow airport "Domodedovo". Passengers will be provided with food, a spare plane will be sent in the very near future to deliver passengers to Antalya, "the press service said.

The interlocutor of the agency also explained that “in accordance with the instructions, the crew made a decision to turn off the engine, descend to an altitude of 8000 feet and approach Domodedovo.

The airline has apologized to passengers who have departed from Minsk, as well as those who are awaiting departure in Antalya, for the forced delay, and promised to make every effort to deliver passengers to their destination as soon as possible.

Earlier on Monday, the media and Telegram channels reported that the Belavia plane, en route from Minsk to Antalya, gave a distress signal and plans to land in Voronezh. As follows from the data on the FlightRadar service, the plane has changed course and is heading towards Moscow. We are talking about the Belavia flight, which departed from Minsk at 9.35 local time (coincides with Moscow time).

At about noon the plane landed safely at the Domodedovo airport. As a representative of the emergency services told RIA Novosti, a pressure sensor was triggered on board the aircraft. At the same time, according to the agency's source, the plane landed with one engine off, and was sent to Moscow for a more efficient solution of technical problems. According to the Belarusian Embassy in Russia, there were 204 people on the plane - 197 passengers and seven crew members.
