OREANDA-NEWS. The situation in the domestic automobile market has stabilized. On March 14, RIA Novosti was told by the press secretary of the Drome car portal, Maria Pogrebets.

“From February 26 to March 2, 2022, the interest of Russians in buying cars grew daily: demand will increase by 35% in a week. At the same time, every second seller rewrote the price tags - cars in Russia have risen sharply in price by 15%. Since March 3, this trend has begun to slow down: there is a stabilization of demand and prices in the auto market,” said Maria Pogrebets.

The press secretary noted that the average cost of a used car in Russia since March 3 has been at around 1.1 million rubles. The average price of a new car is 2.7 million rubles.

According to the analysts of the portal "Drom", over the past weekend, prices for cars in Russia increased by 2%, but at the same time, the supply decreased significantly and prices for right-hand drive cars under the age of seven increased. Their average cost is 1.6 million rubles.

In the segment of left-hand drive cars, cars worth up to 1 million rubles are in demand.

On March 4, it became known that in February 2022, 114,349 cars were sold in Russia, which is 4.8% less than a year ago.

The leader in the Russian car market is held by the Lada brand, whose sales in February decreased by 21% and amounted to 22,378 cars. In second place is Kia, which sold 15,001 cars (-9%). Hyundai is in third place with 13,761 vehicles sold, down 1% from a year ago.
