OREANDA-NEWS Russian experts told how a person’s age affects the choice of a car. To get an answer to this question, they used official statistics for the first 7 months of 2019 and found out which car brands prefer different age categories

In total, experts studied 7 million online visits to the resources of Russian dealers and purchases made through them. New cars are most often purchased by people aged 25 to 34 years. Most often, these services are used by people of this age category, among them 45.3% are men and 39.5% are women. 

Men often opt for Kia (9.2%), BMW (7.2%) and Skoda (6.2%). The youngest of them prefer BMW, Mercedes-Benz and Kia. Men from 45 to 54 years old often buy models of Hyundai, but those who are more than 55 - BMW and Volkswagen. 

Women buy cars of Kia, Hyundai and BMW brands more. These automakers account for 7.3, 4.9 and 4.3% of all online purchases of the fair sex. These brands are preferred by customers aged 45 to 54 years. The youngest of them are more likely to buy Toyota and Kia, and those who are over 65 - Hyundai, Volkswagen and Toyota. It is noteworthy that the domestic cars of the Lada brand are most loved by Russians aged 18 to 24 years.
