OREANDA-NEWS. Large air harbors of the Russian Federation are already introducing face-identification algorithms in test mode; mass application of the system can take up to a year and a half.  This was stated to reporters by NtechLab CEO Alexander Minin.

It is noted that pilot projects will be tested until the end of 2019 - the beginning of 2020.

“Now there are pilot projects.  We are not the only ones whose algorithm is being tested, therefore we cannot comment in detail before the announcement of official tenders, ”said Minin.

As the Director General said, the face recognition system is designed to ensure the security of airports and, in particular, to control the entrance and internal zones.  Now the company is negotiating the use of its technology, but Minin did not specify which airports are discussing this issue.
