OREANDA-NEWSDeutsche Flugsicherung (DFS) banned the take-off and landing of aircraft at Frankfurt Airport after a drone was spotted here. This is stated in the message DFS on Twitter.

In turn, the Federal Police Department at Frankfurt Airport announced the adoption of security measures. Passengers are warned about the possibility of delayed flights.  “Due to the appearance of the drone in the vicinity of the airport, there are crashes and cancellations of flights at Frankfurt Airport”, the message posted on the airport’s Facebook page says.

Frankfurt Airport is the largest airport in Germany, in 2019 more than 70.5 million passengers passed through it. In May 2019, the airport already suspended flights due to the appearance of the drone, other airports in the world are forced to take similar measures. So, for example, in February 2020, flights due to drones stopped the airport of Madrid.
