OREANDA-NEWS  Russian dealers of Hyundai in December implemented 15075 cars – 1% more than the year before. At the end of 2018 Hyundai sales amounted to 178269 cars, which is 13% higher than in the same period last year.

As a result, Hyundai took third place in sales among all automakers in Russia, and the market share of the brand was 9.9%, according to AEB. As noted, 55.6% of sales (99185 cars) accounted for the brand crossovers – Creta, Tucson, Santa Fe and Grand Santa Fe, which indicates the strengthening of Hyundai as a leader in the SUV segment.

According to the press service of "Hyundai motor CIS", the bestseller of the brand last year was a compact crossover Hyundai Creta with 67558 sold cars (22%). In second place in terms of sales is the sedan Hyundai Solaris – it chose the 65581 buyer (-4%).

Compact crossover Hyundai Tucson last year found 23020 owners (+92%). Next is the mid-size crossover Hyundai Santa Fe, whose sales amounted to 7890 cars (-8%). Recall, the fourth generation of the model was presented on the Russian market in August last year. Closes the top five bestsellers of the brand in Russia business sedan Hyundai Sonata, which sold in the amount of 6847 units (an increase of 4.3 times).
